In this unique program, students can simultaneously obtain an international double master’s degree from both Ohio University and Leipzig University. The double degree is particularly attractive for students with a strong interest in global mass communication and journalism.
The double degree program provides up to 5 spots per year for selected students from each university.
While it is possible to complete the double master’s degree program within the normal 2-year period, it may be more feasible by adding another semester at the end to have more time for thesis research and writing, and to avoid submission deadline stress. In their third semester students spend an integrated study abroad semester either at Leipzig University (Ohio students) or at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio (Leipzig students) where the language of instruction is English.
